St. Aloysius College founded in 1880, is run by Jesuit Fathers. The campus is located on a 37-acre plot of land on a hill overlooking the Arabian Sea. The college has been accredited with Grade-A by NAAC. UGC has sanctioned autonomy for the college. SAC Building on the Edyah Hill was inaugurated on12th January 1885.

As per last count in 1980, the College library has 40453 books. Boy's Hostel offers good facilities for nearly 400 students. It is equipped with well-furnished rooms and dining facilities. The College Museum is located in the Red Building of the High School. It has many priceless exhibits on display.
